Sponsored Programmes with RCC

How can you support Rehab Craft Cambodia?

Rehab Craft's core funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, New Zealand, is diminishing as our trading and management capacity grow.

We gratefully accept donations which we keep separate from our operating budgets. RCC does not deduct administrative fees from donations to enable the full amount of such donations to be used to only make purchases and to support programmes outside our general business objectives.

In 2000, donations allowed RCC to purchase motorcycle safety helmets for all staff members, to provide additional workspace for a dozen self-emloyed craftspeople.

Flood Disaster of 2000

FLOOD
Our new priority is flood relief. Cambodia has suffered its worst flooding in living memory during 2000. Many of our staff lost family homes and crops. Each staff member must now share their salary with an average of five additional family members.

RCC is responding with a new staff savings program (in addition to our emergency loan facility). Our staff members will set a savings goal, perhaps to reconstruct a family home, for farming supplies, or helping a family member establish a small business for ongoing income.

We will use your donation to match their individual savings. With your help, the floods of 2000 will be followed by the recovery of 2001.

In the late 2003, Rehab Craft also have a big grant supporting amount US$10,000.00 from our main buyer Overstock.com, USA in order to recruit director and financial survival in RCC. In this means, we are, Rehab Craft staff sincerely appreciated to thank for Overstock.com in kindly support.

In the mid-2004, we received a grant supporting amount US$800.00 from a main buyer Taylor and Khoo in Australia for buying five sewing machine in order to increase our production capacity. In this donor, Rehab Craft staff sincerely appreciated to thank for Taylor and Khoo in kindly support.

In 2004, we received a grant-supporting amount US$1,000.00 from Menzies College (La Trobe University, Australia) for renovated our showroom to display the products. In this means, we are, Rehab Craft staff would like to appreciate for Menzies College and students (La Trobe University Australia) in kindly support RCC.
