Siem Reap located in lowland area, extend to Tonle Sap, north-west of Cambodia. It was named by king Ang chan reach chea in 16th century as khmer soldiers gained control over Siam soldiers, so SIEM mean Siam, REAP mean defeated.

Siem Reap is quiet town, worth a short visit and plays host to tourists from all over the world coming to see the amazing temple of Angkor Wat.

Siem Reap is rich of ruin where the ancient capitol city of the glory of khmer empire were established in more than thousand years ago. Among those achievements of khmer civilization that attracted the tourists to see the great monuments such as Angkor Wat, Boyon Tapromh…. . Beside these you can visit in the town, Crocodile farm, market, stone carving school… .

Western Siem Reap: The silk centre distance 16th km from Siem Reap town is the focus point to see the producing of textile as traditional style and you can see the Western Barray lake which is man made with a good view.

At the south of Siem Reap: Tonle Sap lake and floating villages, fish farm and a few temple "Phnom Krom and Wat Atvea temple" are very interesting. It ‘s possible to take a boat to look a round the floating villages for few hours.

North of Siem Reap: Kulen mountain and Kbal Spean were officially opened for visiting a few years ago. It ‘s enjoyable place with a water falls and thousand lingas containing under water among the nature on the side of the river. It’s special religion site where the king celebrated the ceremony of washing the sin in Angkor period.
