Based on the Royal Government decisions N^o51 ssr dated December 28,1998 concerning the change in relocating all gambling dens and casinos in Phnom Penh city, the spokesman office of the Royal Government of Cambodia would like to publicly inform that all the licensed or non-licensed gambling dens and casinos in Phnom Penh city have to stop their operations by June 30, 1999.

But in case of Naga casino with the contract between the Royal Government of Cambodia and Ariston, the court issued a verdict N^o 27 K dated June 23, 1999. Based on these, the Royal Government of Cambodia is to ask Ariston to come and discuss in order to find out an appropriate solution.

As above-mentioned, the Royal Government spokesman office would like to reiterate publicly that this is the reason why the closure of Ariston’s Naga is prolonged.
