Object: Proposal to provide list of infrastructures (roads and bridges) for private sector participation under BOT scheme.

Pursuant to above object and references, I would like to inform you that due to State budget constraints and due to the lack of financing for rural roads construction, the "One Step Service" meeting on May 17th, 2002 and acting under the written annotation of Samdech Prime Minister of May 23rd, 2002 has set out the visions and the possibilities to provide incentives for private sector participation in roads and bridges construction under a BOT scheme project in rural areas with no or little economic activities where during the concession period there will be no payment to the State.
You are therefore requested as a specialized ministry to review and prepare a list of which roads, bridges are suitable for private sector participation and forward such a list to CDC for submission to the Royal Government for review and consideration.
