Oramis Farm and Resort
This resort was constructed by a villager and is located near Senmonorom town. Beautifully decorated, there are hammocks for relaxing, delicious food to consume, a place for swimming, riding elephant and a large fruit farm. For those looking for something more potent enjoy the unique flavor of the minority rice wine! You can also see how electricity is made and distributed to the farm and resort at the hydroelectric station located on this property. Farmers also use the electricity to spray water on their crops.
There are many minority villages to visit in and around Senmonorom. The Phnong people, who are considered the “original” Khmer, still live in a similar manner from previous years. With unique housing and methods of farming, trips to the Phnong villages are an educational experience. Learn how the Phnong people take oil from the trees and sell it to fishermen to waterproof their boats and discover the traditional way Phnong people harvest their rice – without the aid of a machete.
Get intimate and
interactive with the jungles of Cambodia by hiking through them on foot or on
the back of an elephant. Be on
the lookout for wildlife, including deer, monkeys, and wild boar and explore
the varieties of vegetation.
If you want to get
even closer, why not sleep in the
jungle? We can arrange a camping trip into the
jungle through members of the minority tribes.
Spend the night under the canopy of the jungle and listen to the sounds
of the insects.
Famous throughout Cambodia for not only is stunning beauty and tranquility but also for the torturous yet amusing road to get there, Bou Sra is a natural wonder. Bring a lunch, sit by the falls and enjoy the sounds of falling water because it is 37km away from Senmonorom and takes all day for a return trip. Bou Sra is one of the only double drop falls in Cambodia. The first drop approximately 18m and the second 37m.
Romanear Waterfalls I and II
There are two waterfalls with the same name: Romanear. The first one is located about 18km south of Senmonorom and the second one is off the main road near the Oramis resort. There are swimming spots located at the first and second Romanear. It is best to have a guide to find these falls, as they can be difficult to find on your own.
Dak Dam Waterfall
With a greater volume of water, Dak Dam could be called the big brother of Monorom Falls because it is very similar in size and shape. It is located near the Phnong Villiage of Dak Dam and is difficult to find on your own.
Easily reachable by moto, this waterfall is located about 3km from town. Although it is small, many Khmers go there to swim and enjoy lunch by the water’s edge and surrounding jungle.
Dakramon Mountain
This mountain is related to tribe’s history and also a respect-place for the villagers. On the mountain there is old man Call “Ta Dakramon”,. People came here for asking to release their disease or some problem in their life.
