On his studies:
|
“I am better in
Khmer language than in the other subjects at the school. I have had some
difficulty because my teacher is Cambodian and he cannot explain the
lesson to me in Lao. I want to learn from a Lao teacher, for it is easy
for him to explain whenever I don't understand.” “When I finish
primary school here in my village, I hope to continue my studies at the
high school in the provincial town of Banlung because I have relatives
there who I can stay with. When I grow up I want to be a teacher because
I like children and I want to educate them as I have been educated.”

|
On the new building:
|
“I am happy with the new school. At the old
school, some of the children didn't come to school because they didn't
like the old school. I heard that children who have never attended class
will come to study at the new school at the beginning of the new school
year starting from 1st October. Then the atmosphere here will be lively
and happy.”
