Sun Thoy is a 12-year-old third grade student at the Aeon Papaya School. He was ranked fourth out of the 55 students in his class at the end of last year.
| On the new building: | “I like the new building.
It is very nice compared to the old one.
It’s safe and I’m not scared of going to school.”

| On school subjects: | “I like mathematics and Khmer
because I want to learn how to read books and calculate.”

| On his future: | “I have never left this village, and none of my siblings has ever gone to secondary or high school. I want to try go to those schools. I don’t know what I will do in the future.” |
