In
Their Own Words. . .
| On the new
building: |
I like the new building
because it is easy to sit in during class.
The old school had a leaky roof and was overcrowded.
|
| On school
subjects:
|
I like learning mathematics
because it's easier than other subjects.
I don't like learning Khmer because I think that it's easy.
|
| On her hobbies:
|
When
I have free time I like to gamble with my brother and to find jewels
with my neighbors. In the
evening, I like to help my mother with the cooking.
When I meet my friends at school, I like to run and jump with
them.
[The area around Pailin is noted for the
presence of precious stones, including rubies and sapphires.
The Khmer Rouge used to sell these gems to finance their war
effort, and now locals search for them in the hopes of striking it
rich.]
|
| On her future: |
I want to be a businesswoman
in the future because I can get benefits.
|
| Message for the
Donor:
|
I
would like to thank The Nippon Foundation organization very much for
building us this school. |
