Som Theara is a 15-year old boy attending the 2^nd grade at the Masako Suiko School #2. He is the 2^nd of 4 children, but is the only child who attends the school. His parents fish for a living. He walks to school everyday. 

“I like Khmer literature class the most because it makes it easier for me to read.” 

“In my free time, I like to play hop scotch and run with my friends. I would like to visit Phnom Penh if I can because it’s a beautiful city.” 

“I hope that I can become a doctor in the future because doctors get to give shots!” 

“Thank you (to the donors) very, very much for building the school.”
