Report of the Shintoshin Rotary Club School
Dear Mr. Krisher,
I
went to distribute certificates to the hard working students on the garden at
the Shintoshin Rotary Club School this morning. There were many people joined
such as school director, teachers, parents, students, gardener, cooks (she came
to cook corn for students), Chantha, Sopheak and also the man who gave us the
land to use for the garden. There were about 50 students joined this morning,
but we had 29 certificates only to distribute. The school director had a speech
to explain about the trying of students who had tried to take care the garden
and explained about the value of the garden and he also raised as an example
of the students who had tried hard working until they can get certificates to
encourage the other students who did not receive the certificate this time yet.
He congratulated the students who receiving the certificates today and he thanks
them for the contribution of their physical force and moral force to this garden
for the unite interests. He said first we plant and taking care and cooked and
then we can eat all together. He said " you plant and taking care here
and you get experience from here, then you can get this experience from here
to find a piece of a land next to your house to plant for your whole family".
He thanks our NGO by saying " this NGO even not just building schools every
where in Cambodia, but also help us to build this garden as well". He also
appealed to the students to try to take care of the garden more and thank all
people for coming to join today.
I also had a speech
to thank them for their good cooperation from the beginning until now and their
continuing to take care the garden. I explained about the valuable of the certificate
which is certify for their using in the future. I admired for their trying to
achieve this. As I told them "Trying is successful" and I thank the
gardener who is always working hard and his patience. I also thank the parents
who understanding all these works to leave their kids to work on this. I told
them the kids are not just only receiving the agricultural skills, but they
will also have their bright future when they get the experiences from young.
Then I distributed certificates to each of 29 students whom hard working. And
I explained to the rest who did not receive this time to try more hard as them
and the gardener will see and list the name to give us, then they will also
can get the same like them. I also gave books to the students. They received
all these with the smiling face and seem they will trying harder working.
The fulfillment of
the certificate distributive this morning had been good progressive with happiness
and hopefulness. And we may also ready to continue finding the other things
to encourage them.
Best regards,
Meng Dy
