The MIT Media Lab's director, Nick Negroponte , will fly into rural Cambodia in a helicopter this week for the opening of a school that bears his name. Negroponte , who is now traveling in India, is among the donors who gave $13,000 to build one in what organizers hope will be a network of five-room schoolhouses giving local children access to computers. After attending the opening of the first three schools on Thursday, Negroponte and the other donors, Wakako Hironaka, a Japanese member of parliament, and members of a Tokyo Rotary Club, will have an audience on Friday with King Norodom Sihanouk at the royal palace in Phnom Penh.
