World Links

From 2005 to 2007, American Assistance for Cambodia / Japan Relief for Cambodia is implementing the World Links/ASEAN SchoolNet project. This project is providing the instructional use of computers and the Internet to five lower secondary schools and three teacher training centers in Cambodia. Each institution receives sixteen computers that connect to the Internet using DSL and a satellite dish and intensive teacher training. It is funded by the World Bank through World Links, a global non-profit organization whose mission is to improve educational outcomes, economic opportunities, and global understanding for youth through the use of information technology and new approaches to learning. The overall ASEAN SchoolNet project will operate in four ASEAN countries: Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

In Cambodia, the following high schools have been selected to participate in this project:
1. Baktouk High School (Phnom Penh)
2. Indradevi High School (Phnom Penh)
3. Samdech Euv High School (Battambang)
4. 10 Makara High School (Siem Reap)
5. Samdech Euv High School (Siem Reap)
