EDUCATION
- Cambodia Journalism Workshop - Promoted
a free media in post-war Cambodia by teaching journalism,
desktop publishing and Internet programming through the
University of Phnom Penh. This program was also open to
scholarship students from Burma, Laos, and Vietnam.
- Media Library - Built and operated Cambodia's
largest free media library. The library is now operated
by the University of Cambodia and continues to offer free
public access to over 25,000 volumes.
- Future Light Orphanage - Supported 285
children through foster parent sponsorships and English
and computer training. Many former orphans now continue
to work with AAfC as English and computer teachers at Rural
Schools.
- Anti-trafficking - Counseled and assisted
ten victims of sex trafficking.
VILLAGE CAPACITY BUILDING
- Sihanouk
Hospital – Center of Hope – Constructed
this facility which treats more than 300 patients a day
without charge, designed by the eminent Japanese architect
Kenzo Tange as a gift and built under cost by the Maeda
construction company. The hospital is now operated by Hope
Worldwide of Philadelphia with a generous annual contribution
by Toshu Fukami, a Japanese businessman.

Travel with a Heart - Offered travelers a chance
to witness life in rural Cambodia by visiting AAfC programs.
- Bicycle donations - Donated 3,000 bicycles
to students and medical staff in rural villages.
