Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen meets here today with HEADA City Group led by its Executive Director Mr. Hyung Joo Kim.

During the meeting, Mr. Hyung Joo Kim informed Prime Minister Hun Sen that his company is resuming the construction project of Angkor Resort City in Siem Reap province after the project was suspended for a while.

In reply, Premier Techo Hun Sen warmly welcomed and wished the company to successfully achieve the project as it will help contribute to the Cambodia’s development.

Cambodia’s Information Minister H.E. Khieu Kanharith receives here on July 28 Mr. Masahiro Sano, Representative of Naganuki Un Son In Organization of Japan.

On the occasion, the minister expressed thanks to Mr. Masahiro Sano and his organization for the donation of 3,800 bicycles to the Cambodian poor students at the rural areas and the construction of a school building at Siem Reap province’s Banteay Srey district.

H.E. Khieu Kanharith, Minister of Information receives here this morning a delegation of the Radio Voice of Vietnam led by its Deputy General Director Mr. Dao Duy Hira.

In the meeting, Mr. Dao Duy Hira told the minister over his intention to open the office in Phnom Penh.

In reply, H.E. Minister welcomed the delegation’s purpose and thanked Vietnam for providing FM Radio machines to Cambodian information ministry to equip in the remote provinces.

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Hor Namhong, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation speaks to reporters during a press conference held at Phnom Penh International Airport on July 27 over the verdict of the former Khmer Rouge S-21 Chief Kaing Guek Eav, better known as Duch.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Hor Namhong said that for his personal view the KR chamber’s verdict handled for Duch was very light and undeserved if compare to the deaths of nearly 3 millions of Cambodian innocent people and hundreds of thousands of people who were tortured at Tuol Sleng and executed at Choeuk Ek.

The Trial Chamber of the Extraordinary Chambers in Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) on July 26 sentences a former Khmer Rouge Tuol Sleng S-21 Chief Kaing Guek Eav, alias Duch, to 30-year imprisonment. Duch was convicted for the war crimes, crimes against humanity and grave breach of the Geneva Convention of 1949.

The around 60 members from 10 Asian countries are gathered in Siem Reap Town on July 26 to 30 for the 9th Asia Biomass Seminar in order to exchange views and experiences as well showing the advantages on biomass use and the practice on energetic field and industry.

The seminar was held under the support of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Trade of Japan with participation of H.E Sat Sami, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Energy of Cambodia and Mr. Hirokiyokoyama, First Secretary to Embassy of Japan to Cambodia.

The grant aid as 9 fire-fighting trucks from Japan Association were handed over by Phnom Penh Municipality Governor H.E Kep Chutema today to the Fire-Fighting Police Department of Branch 4 in Reousey Keo district.

The Japan Association will donate more 11 fire-fighting trucks to Cambodia in next December.
