Profile: Chum Sok Khouch is 15 years old and a six grade student at the 2006-2007 semester of The Wakako Hironaka primary school in Thort Mlou village, Robib commune, Roveang district, Preah Vihear province.
Current situation: Her family is farmer, besides farming her family doing plantation. There are three members in the family. She has one sister and two brothers. She is third child in the family. Her parents were separated many years, now her father has a second wife and he ignored them all. Her older sister works as housekeeper in Phnom Penh, earns 20$ a month. Her oldest brother is married and lives separately in the same village, he never support her mother because he is poor. The reason for her frequent school absence is due to her mother asks her to harvest rice, housekeeping, cooking. Moreover, she working anywhere that people want to hire her and earned $1 a day. Her mother is illness such as, stomachache, intestine ach and sleepless; that is why Khouch has to work hard for support her mother.
Problem she faces: Her family is poor and no body could support them. Her mother is sickness.
Suggestion: Her mother will send her attend school regularly
