Profile: Son Seng is 11 years old and a fourth grade student at the 2006-2007 semesters of the Bor Yakha Nippon Foundation primary school in Bor Tangsue village, Pailin.
Current situation: Her family’s homeland is in Kratie province. They are living on someone’s land five years ago. Her father used to volunteer as soldier near Khmer-Thai border. He has received $17 and 12 kilograms of rice per month. Her parents are farmer; growing corn crops on their small land and work for someone needed for extra income. The reason for she frequently school absent due to take care of her youngest sibling, work as her father, do housework etc,. Moreover, her oldest sister and she are in the same school but both dropped out sometime. She has one brother, and four sisters, she is the second child in the family. There are four children get schooling. But however, her parents said, she is willing to attend school everyday.
Problem she faces: Poverty, her parents has no own land.
Suggestion: Her parents are promised to send her oldest sister and her to attend school as schedule provided.
