Girl student: Kong Chanda is twelve years old. She was in the first grade. She likes to go to school but she did not have time to go to school regularly.
Why we are sponsoring the girl: Kong Chanda is an orphan. She lives with her grandmother. Her mother was died and her father lives with his second wife far from the province. Her grandmother is very old. She cannot do anything. In the family there are her aunt and uncle. Both of them are workers in the villages. They do not earn enough money for the family. The daily income is 5000Riels ($1.25). Some days they cannot get any Riel.
In this situation that Chanda must stay at home.
Now Chanda has suggested to the family that she wants to go to school. Finally the family agreed to support her to attend school.
