Profile: Chhorm Chhorvy is 11 years old and a fourth grade student at the 2006-2007 semester of the Tokyo-West Rotary Club primary school in Peam Khav village, Dombork Rong commune, Phnom Srouch district, Kompong Speu province.
Current situation: Her father is construction worker, earning $2 a day. Her mother is farmer, besides of faming her mother have extra income by selling Khmer cake at home but possibly in the farming season. There are eight members in the family. She has one brother and four sisters; she is the third child in the family. Her older brother is construction worker in another district. They have to expend $1.3 a day for food. She dropped out of school sometimes to work at rice field for earning extra income to support the family. But however, she always earns high score in the class and study hard student.
Problem she faces: Poverty, family doesn’t have enough land to grow the rice.
Suggestion: We shall be support her
