Profile: Nuov Sokheng is 14 years old and a third grade student at the 2006-2007 semester of the Tokyo-West Rotary Club primary school in Meanchey village, Dombork Rong commune, Phnom Srouch district, Kompong Speu province.
Current situation: Her father passed away two years ago by medical reaction. There are five members in the family. She has one oldest sister and two younger sisters, all females. Her mother is a farmer; she has extra income by selling banana fried at home, earning $1 a day but get profit only 25cents. Her oldest sister is disable people (hear less-ness and talk less-ness) but she could attend school with getting high score as other students. The reason for her frequently school absence is because of sickness and she sometimes to work for someone hired such as; harvest rice, taking care of their cows and earning 50cents a day. Her mother is in debt for about $50 for being prepared her father’s funeral ceremony. But however, her mother is allowed all children to attend school. No one, has been missed the class.
Problem she faces: Poverty. No stable work to do
