Profile: Me Raksmey is 12 year-old a second grade student at The Dyer Family Friendship School located in Beng korng village, Preah Klang commune, Tbeng Meanchey district, Preah Vihear Province.
Her father left them since he was using the gun to shoot her mother. Now she doesn’t have any plot for farming, only a cottage for living with her children and earn a small living by planting beans or other vegetables for someone for $1.25 a day.
Raksmey is the oldest child and she has one younger brother. She has unfortunately an accident which has paralyzed the right side of her face.
Because of this danger her family has collected a debt of $500. Due to pressures to help her family with work on the land and the long distance to the school (4 km) she is frequently absent.Support: We pay her family $10 a month.
