Report from a student at the Overlake School,
Redmond, Washington, USA
Dear Mr. Krisher,
My name is Kate Berry and I traveled with the delegation from The Overlake
School in Redmond, Washington to our school in Pailin last April. I
had the good fortune to meet you during your visit to our school in
June. You spoke with us about two of your new programs, and I would
like more information about "Girls: Be Ambitious!" I have
discussed the idea with my family, and I would love to sponsor a girl
to attend school. Can you please share with me the details of this program?
How exactly does the program work and how can I become involved?
I would also like to share with you my reflections on the trip to Cambodia.
Visiting the school in Pailin was, without a doubt, a life changing
experience. Ever since we left the school my friends and I have been
planning our return trip. I never could have imagined such a beautiful
place, with such generous and happy people, as Cambodia. I have attached
the speech I wrote for the banquet we held after our return.
Thank you for all of your efforts in Cambodia and around the world.
I hope I can someday identify something that I am as passionate about.
Please keep me updated with any new projects or ideas. I hope to become
more involved with American Assistance for Cambodia as it has become
a cause close to my heart.
Sincerely,
Kate Berry
